AI for Research & Analysis

Use AI to research, fact-check, and synthesize — without falling into the "paste-question-trust-answer" trap that gets knowledge workers in trouble. Learn to ask better questions, spot hallucinations, and turn findings into clear recommendations.

What you'll be able to do

Run structured research at work: ask better questions, verify outputs against sources, compare options without bias, stress-test your reasoning, and turn findings into recommendation memos that get read and acted on.

About This Course

Most people use AI for research the same way they use Google: paste a question, copy the answer. That's how you end up presenting wrong facts to your boss. This course teaches the opposite — using AI as a research partner you can actually trust, by understanding where it fails, how to ground it in real sources, and how to turn its output into clear recommendations. You'll learn how to ask better research questions, compare options without AI's hedging bias, spot hallucinations before they cost you, stress-test your reasoning, build decision matrices, and write up findings that drive action. Tool-agnostic. Builds on the RICE framework from "AI for Your Workday" — best taken after that course, but designed to stand alone.

Course Outline

Module 1: Setting Up Good Research

Stop using AI like a search bar for big questions. Set up structured research that produces defensible answers.

Module 2: Spotting Hallucinations

Where AI makes things up, how to catch it, and how to ground your prompts in real sources so the answers stay anchored.

Module 3: Turning Research Into Decisions

From information to action. Build matrices, stress-test your thinking, and write up findings that actually drive decisions.
